I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.
Commentary:
* Scroll sealed with seven seals - written inside and on back
Writing on the back side of the scroll is the table of content of the seven seals and inside the scroll are the details of the seven seals.
Like a book, one side is the table of content and the other side is the details of the table of content. In chapter 6 of Revelation John saw a table of content only but did not see what is inside the scroll. He saw the details inside the scroll when the seventh seal opened in chapter 8.
